Week #33 – Race Week!

Six days until race day, and the final week of the taper phase is under way. This morning, I had a great 10-mile run at sunrise, and had no pain or discomfort from my nagging Achilles injury!

With four mile-repeats, and 2-min recovery segments after each, I covered the 10-miles in a comfortable 1:30, with a couple sub-9 and sub-8 miles in there.

Tomorrow, I’ll do a 40-50 minute tune-up workout. Wednesday, a short run. Friday, a 15-20 minute loosen-up jog. Then Saturday is race day!

Here’s hoping the air quality has improved in Idaho!
