On TV with Olympic Gold Medalist tomorrow
By Kevin | November 18, 2008
If you’re in the Boulder, CO area with access to local cable channel 54, tune in to “East County Live” tomorrow night to watch me flounder my way through a 1-hour TV talk-show that will focus on marathoning. I’ll be a guest along with Constantina Tomescu-Dita (2008 Beijing Olympic Gold Medalist who lives and trains in nearby Erie, CO), and Alan Culpepper (2-time USA Olympic Marathon team member, and 2004 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials Champion, who lives and trains here in Lafayette). Apparently, I’m going to supply the “average, normal guy” perspective to their “Olympic awesomeness”. We’ll see how that goes, and maybe I can get a copy of the video to post on here. Hopefully I won’t be so starstruck by their presence that I look like a total fool…but I hope Constantina lets me wear her Olympic medal!!
Note to all those great running companies that are considering sponsoring me: first one to send me your stuff gets free on-air exposure! Strange that I haven’t heard from anyone yet. They must be waiting until I get to the 50th state, to take advantage of the worldwide media exposure. Right?

How cool! Here’s a couple of tips. Don’t pee your pants. Don’t barf on Constantina. Don’t steal any Gold Medals. I think if you stick to that plan, you’ll do great. Have fun, and get some video!
